In 1956, Alpha Phi was one of the first women's fraternities to establish a Foundation.
Demonstrating the philanthropic spirit of love and charity intended by our Founders, the Foundation was created as a trust to award grants specifically for scholarship and cardiac aid.
Today, the original priorities of Alpha Phi Foundation remain the same.
Advancing women's lives through the power of philanthropy.
The Theta Lambda chapter at Central Missouri hosts our version of Alpha Phi 's Red Dress Gala signature event each spring, which includes a silent auction. It is an opportunity for friends and family members to realize what Alpha Phi is all about. All the money raised is then donated to the Alpha Phi Foundation and the American Heart Association in support of women's heart health.
The 2021 Red Dress Gala was held on April 24th. This was our first virtual Red Dress Gala, and we raised over $5,000!
Every fall, the sisters of Theta Lambda host Alpha Phifa, a co-ed soccer tournament benefitting the Alpha Phi Foundation. Teams compete in a bracket-style tournament for hours of fun, competitive play for the Alpha Phifa trophy! All entry fees benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation and women’s heart health. It’s always a fun time with music, snacks, cheering, and friends.
